Victory Capital (VCTR) Expands ETF Assets. Is the Growth Becoming More Durable?

Victory Capital Holdings has reported a notable jump in assets under management, with exchange-traded funds leading the charge. According to figures released on September 11, the company's total assets under management climbed to $356.469 billion at the end of August, up from $345.117 billion at the close of July.

The ETF business posted the strongest momentum. ETF assets rose to $23.474 billion from $20.889 billion a month earlier. That translates to monthly growth of roughly 3.3 percent in total assets under management and 12.4 percent in ETFs, a pace that stands out against the broader asset management landscape.

The $2.585 billion gain in ETF assets suggests that Victory Capital's push into exchange-traded products is gaining traction with investors. For a firm that has historically been known more for mutual funds and institutional strategies, the shift toward ETFs marks a meaningful change in its business mix.

Whether that growth can be sustained is the central question. Asset flows can swing sharply with market conditions, and a single month of strong gains does not guarantee a lasting trend. Still, the August numbers give the company a stronger footing as it works to build a more diversified and durable asset base.
