Financial planning software provider RightCapital has unveiled a new artificial intelligence tool called Iris, designed to streamline how advisors handle client data and build financial plans. The AI agent aims to reduce manual work by interpreting complex client information and delivering immediate, actionable insights.
According to the company, Iris can automatically scan a client's financial picture and flag potential inconsistencies or gaps in a plan. For example, the agent might spot a mismatch between a client's stated retirement goal and their current savings rate, or identify an overlooked tax implication. This allows advisors to focus on strategic conversations rather than spending hours combing through spreadsheets.
The tool is built directly into RightCapital's existing platform, meaning advisors do not need to switch between different applications. By automating the initial data analysis, Iris is meant to speed up the planning workflow and reduce the risk of human error. The company emphasizes that the agent is not meant to replace the advisor's judgment, but rather to serve as a first pass that highlights areas needing attention.
Early users report that the agent cuts down the time needed to prepare for client meetings. Instead of manually checking every assumption, advisors can rely on Iris to surface the most critical issues. RightCapital plans to continue refining the AI based on user feedback, with the goal of making financial planning more efficient and accurate for both advisors and their clients.
