The Futures of Capitalism Program, directed by Aris Komporozos-Athanasiou, has launched the first workshop of the Global Consortium for Re-thinking Capitalism (GCRC), named Collapse Finance. This innovative initiative aims to explore and challenge the existing frameworks of financial systems, emphasizing the need for transformative approaches in the face of contemporary economic crises.
Participants from diverse backgrounds, including academics, practitioners, and activists, will engage in critical discussions and collaborative projects designed to reimagine the role of finance in society. The workshop seeks to address the pressing issues surrounding economic inequality, environmental sustainability, and social justice, providing a platform for new ideas and solutions.
By fostering a multidisciplinary dialogue, Collapse Finance aims to inspire participants to rethink traditional capitalist structures and envision alternative models that prioritize human and ecological well-being. This workshop marks a significant step toward creating a more equitable and sustainable economic future, encouraging a collective re-evaluation of how finance can serve society at large.
