BSI Financial Services has appointed mortgage servicing veteran Rob Willis as senior vice president and head of non-agency servicing. In this role, he will oversee a portfolio that spans several specialized lending categories, including DSCR loans, bridge financing, build-to-rent properties, construction loans, and business-purpose mortgages.
Willis arrives with close to thirty years of experience in loan servicing and asset management. His background includes work with nonbank servicers, private equity firms, and institutional lenders. Throughout his career, he has managed more than 50 billion dollars in assets across various institutional platforms.
The hire signals BSI's intent to strengthen its position in the non-agency servicing market, which has grown as more borrowers turn to alternative financing options outside traditional government-backed loan programs. Non-agency products often require specialized servicing expertise because of their varied structures and underwriting standards.
Willis's deep familiarity with complex asset classes is expected to help BSI manage risk and expand its footprint in niche lending segments. His appointment takes effect immediately, and he will report to senior leadership at the firm.
