B1Bank has completed its acquisition of American Planning Corp., a financial consulting firm based in Baton Rouge. The deal adds a well-established local advisory practice to the bank's existing portfolio of services. American Planning Corp. has operated in the region for years, offering financial planning and consulting to individuals and businesses.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquisition is part of B1Bank's broader strategy to deepen its presence in the Louisiana market and expand its non-lending revenue streams. By bringing in American Planning Corp.'s team and client base, the bank aims to offer more comprehensive financial guidance alongside its traditional banking products.
Executives from both companies expressed optimism about the combination. They noted that the move aligns with growing demand for integrated financial advice, especially among clients who want a single institution for both banking and long-term planning needs. The consulting firm's staff is expected to remain in place, and operations will continue from its existing Baton Rouge office.
This acquisition follows a trend of regional banks adding advisory capabilities to compete with larger national firms. For B1Bank, the deal strengthens its foothold in a key market while broadening the range of services it can offer to local customers.
