Aircraft finance company Aircraft Capital Group has closed on a major real estate deal, purchasing its own headquarters complex in Florida for $118 million. The transaction marks a significant investment in the company's home base and signals confidence in the region's commercial property market.
The seller was Greystar, the global real estate firm, which had acquired the same property just last year for $30.5 million. That quick turnaround represents a substantial profit for Greystar, more than tripling its initial outlay in under twelve months. The steep price increase reflects both the prime location of the campus and the current demand for high-quality office and operational space in the area.
The complex, located in the Sunshine State, serves as the central hub for Aircraft Capital Group's operations, which include leasing, financing, and managing aircraft portfolios. Company officials said the purchase secures long-term stability for their workforce and allows for future expansion without the uncertainty of leasing. They also noted that owning the asset outright provides better control over facility upgrades and operational costs.
Local commercial real estate analysts view the deal as another sign of strength in the aviation-adjacent sector. The sale also highlights how quickly property values can shift in a tight market, especially for specialized corporate campuses. Neither party disclosed additional terms of the agreement, but the sale has already been recorded in public property records. Greystar's quick resale strategy appears to have paid off handsomely, while Aircraft Capital Group now holds a key physical asset as it continues to grow its aviation finance business.
